CIT Canada Seeks Expansion Through Senior Appointments
TORONTO, Nov. 9 /CNW/ -- CIT Canada, a division of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE:
CIT) a leading global provider of commercial and consumer finance solutions,
today announced the appointments of Mark Hart as Chief Sales Officer and
Senior Vice President for CIT Commercial Finance, Canada; Peter Kinkartz as
Managing Director and Head of CIT Capital Markets, Canada and Bruce Smith as
Senior Vice President of CIT Vendor Finance, Canada.

* Mark Hart will collaborate with the various Business Unit leaders in
Commercial Finance with an objective of increasing sales through a
combination of strategy, best practices, cross selling and sales
productivity. With 15 years financial services experience prior to CIT,
Hart was a Group Vice President with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta and was
responsible for the bank's Equity Wholesale Lending division. Before
this promotion, he served as Vice President Business Development for
SunTrust's International Factoring division. He also has held the
position of Director of Sales at Coface, one of the world's largest
credit insurers and a management position at CIBC Mortgages.
* Peter Kinkartz will be responsible for driving all capital markets
activities in Canada and supporting the expansion of the company's
origination activities in the region. Kinkartz has 15 years of
experience in the financial services sector, both in debt capital
markets and the commercial bank market, in North American and Europe.
Kinkartz' experience includes over seven years with CIT in Canada and
the U.S. Previously, he worked for RBC Capital Markets in Toronto and
Credit Suisse/Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, Zurich and
Toronto. He received a BA in International Relations from the
University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.
* Bruce Smith will be responsible for overseeing CIT's vendor financing
relationships throughout Canada. Prior to CIT, Smith served as General
Manager of Dell Financial Services (DFS) Canada. Under his leadership,
DFS Canada was named "Best of Breed" for financial services across
Dell's worldwide corporate organization. Prior to joining DFS Canada,
Smith served in management roles in CIT's Healthcare and Commercial and
Industrial Vendor groups. He has also worked at Deloitte & Touche,
providing audit, tax, and consulting services to clients. He received a
BA from McMaster University and is a Chartered Accountant.
